How to be brave when you are feeling stuck

Updated: Mar 16, 2022

Winter is well underway and you may be feeling stuck in a rut.

You aren’t the only one!

The winter months can be a great time to reflect on what’s really important to you and think of new ways to get your momentum going again.

February is all about new ways to Be Brave.

Now’s the time to identify an area of your life where you feel you are no longer growing and start to shake it up.

Is there dust on your yoga mat? Have you been using your elliptical machine as a clothes hanger? Has your dog been taking himself for a walk?

Well, this could be the perfect time to get out of your comfort zone and re-energize.

And it doesn’t take much to get the ball rolling!

The other day I was out for a walk and instead of heading down my usual route, something told me to take a different path. I’d been walking my usual path for years but for some reason, I had never gone the other way before. So, I did.

And you know what? It was fun! I didn’t know where each turn in the path would lead or where I’d eventually end up but I knew I’d be okay.

As Robert Frost once said, “The best way out is always through.”

We all must take a different path once in a while in order to continue growing. Because if you aren’t growing, you just aren’t living.

It’s not about comparing yourself to others and what they’re doing. It’s about gently pushing your edge and rediscovering what fires you up inside.

Your Magenta Monday Magic.

Identify an area or two in your life where you are feeling stuck.

Think of 3 things you can do to be brave and get your momentum going again.

Examples: Tired of your routine? Switch it up! Goat yoga anyone?

I invite you to take note of how you feel before and after this exercise. And, if you find yourself butting up against resistance that’s okay!

It takes real courage to take new risks and try new things. If you are ready to start living your life instead of letting your life live you, then visit us on the Facebook page and post in the comments what you have learned.

Good luck and Be Brave!
