Welcome Beautiful!

If you're like me, you've probably spent the last 2 decades following the path you are "supposed" to be on. When was the last time you stopped to question if what you’re doing is what you really want?

As you face some major life midlife transitions, you may have no idea what you’re supposed to do next. Maybe you are:

  • a midlife mom (with kids about to leave the nest) who feels lost because your life’s focus has been upended

  • thinking about how your retirement (or your spouse’s) is going to shift everything for you

  • caring for aging parents or in-laws and facing the fact that you may soon lose them altogether

  • facing divorce or the loss of another significant relationship

  • grieving the loss of someone you love

Trust me, I have been there. Some of you know what you want to do, but just don’t know how to get started. While others have no idea what you want to do, the thought of picking up that brush and making the first stroke on the blank canvas absolutely terrifies you.

That’s why I created the Pathway to Purpose 6-month Transformational Coaching program. If you are experiencing a women's midlife crisis, this program, which uses my 6 Live BRIGHTer pillars, can help make this transition as painless as possible.

You are worthy of creating a life you love. It's never too late and you don't have to go it alone. Confidently step into your future with all the guidance and support of someone who has been there.

Since working together, I am ‘truly happy! Comfortable in my own skin, peaceful/calm, happy in my marriage and with my kids. Content with work and friendships. I am healthy and exercising and engaged with life. It’s come together. I am energized about life!’

You came into my life at a time where I was "down and out". I am so grateful to have had you help me work through my emotions, build me up and teach me to not be small. With your help I have been able to break the cycle of me being so hard on myself. I am learning to be "me" and I am okay with people not knowing who I really am and not conforming to their needs.

Hi, I’m Bridget

It may not look like it now, but I was once "that" mom.

I’d planned my life out to a tee and had done everything "right"...or so I’d thought. I was in my mid-30s, lived in Orange County, and was blessed with two, beautiful, healthy children, a loving husband, and a great job. On the outside, we looked like any other young family in our neighborhood complete with soccer games and birthday parties.

But on the inside, I was crumbling...

As much as I loved my family, I had a hole inside that I didn’t know how to fill. I felt consumed with guilt and shame. Shouldn’t I be happy with the picture perfect life I had always thought I’d wanted and worked so hard to get? I knew something had to change, but I was terrified of what others would think. Reinventing yourself in midlife can be a difficult and daunting task, but it's important to remember that you deserve to be happy and fulfilled.

As time went on, the whisper inside my head became a roar asking,

"Who am I?"  "What is my purpose?” "Why am I here?"

I had absolutely no idea. It felt as if my inner light  - already dimming  - was about to be completely snuffed out.

I didn’t want to wake up one day, look at my husband and say, "Who are you? Where have I been for the past 20 years?"

That prospect motivated me to move through my fear and be brave. I had to figure this out. My life depended on it. I became laser-focused on discovering who I was so I could live my life with intention. Believe me, it wasn’t easy! In fact, I almost lost my marriage over it.

"Change is hard at first, messy in the middle, and gorgeous in the end." -Robin Sharma

After many painful conversations, and lots of deep reflection and inquiry, the pieces started to fall back into place and my husband and I reinvented a new vision of the life we wanted to design. Together.

And you know what?  It was a million times better!

I am so very grateful every day to continue to cultivate this amazing life that I love. This is my truth. As an Empowerment Coach for Women in Midlife & the Founder of Being Magenta, I use my personal experiences and training, rooted in Positive Psychology, to support women experiencing transition in midlife - just like you - seeking to discover what they want with the 2nd half of their life, before they get to the crisis point I found myself in so many years ago.

When your light shines brighter, it’s a lot easier to see the road ahead.

It would be my absolute honor to accompany you on your journey of finding purpose as a woman in midlife so that you can step into this next chapter of your life with confidence and clarity and make it your best one yet!

My biggest struggle is trying to find myself and figure out what I want after being so focused on raising my kids and not..making intentional choices for me. I have learned how important it is to have and keep a routine. She has given me the tools to pause and take a step back…and to alleviate feelings of anxiety and overwhelm and to fight my inner voice that is negatively critiquing me.

My biggest struggle as a parent was straddling the line between parent and friend. I wanted/needed to discover my purpose in life so that when my youngest child left home for college in a couple of years, I would not be left wondering how to spend my days, what I could bring to my marriage, and what I would talk to my husband about. I’ve learned that I am more than a wife and parent..I am a writer and artist. I can rewrite my stories. I need to set boundaries and prioritize myself.
