Sometimes in the midst of traveling, it’’s easy to pass by sites without really stopping to connect to what life must have been like for those who were here when the object you’re viewing was created. In Sicily there are so many Greek ruins like these, but most are not as well preserved as this. This was one of the many MM for me on this trip as I paused to consider how many people had lived here, carrying out their day to day lives since it was built in the 5th century BC. The human connection through time is truly awe inspiring.
